Opening ceremony of the 8th Conference of United Nations Day Of Vesak held on May 11, 2011 at Mahachulalongkorn Rajavidyalaya University in Thailand. The ceremony was attended by 5000 delegates comprising monks, representatives from Buddhist organisations, universities, observers and 1700 foreign delegates from 85 countries.
This annual event held in conjunction of Vesak Day will last until May 14, 2011.
